TARA WEBSTER
Tara is an accomplished musician, having studied music since the age of seven, and has achieved distinctions at the highest level in numerous musical disciplines. She is well known for her work as a vocal teacher and also teaches a wide range of instruments from the piano through most woodwind and strings.
Her professional musical career began at the BBC in 1988, where her talents saw her quickly promoted to the youngest BBC Radio Producer for Schools Radio there had been. She wrote and produced many musical productions for radio persuading many stars such as Tom Baker, Bill Oddie, Toyah, Danny John Jules and Bonnie Langford to take part.
She also produced many popular schools music series such as The Music Box, Time and Tune, Singing Together and Music Workshop.
Throughout her career, Tara has always enjoyed teaching others and passing on her skills, and has been teaching privately for some 15 years.
Since the birth of her daughter in 1998, teaching has become her passion . She teaches both privately and in schools, working on a one to one basis as well as being a specialist teacher of music in the National Curriculum in many primary schools. She has worked as the musical director for several well known theatre schools working on many different productions.
As Tara completes her studies to become an Associate Teacher of the Trinity College and Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London, she has recently opened a stage school offering lessons in Dance, Drama and Singing, enabling her to bring together her extensive skills.
